Ultimate Guide To Methacrylate Adhesives

What Are Methacrylate Adhesives?

Methacrylate adhesives combines quick curing chemistries with industrial-strength with excellent impact resistance. Each adhesive component enables flawless adhesion to metallic and advanced composite materials perfect for at home use or on large production lines where efficiency is vital.

Why Use Methacrylate Adhesives?

Methyl methacrylate (MMA) adhesives are commonly referred to as structural or engineering adhesives because they provide a high strength, durable bond that allows objects made of different materials to be joined together.

This type of glue, which also goes by the names methacrylate adhesive and methacrylate glue, has many uses in industrial manufacturing and can bond metals, plastics, and composites together in an incredibly strong, but safe way.

When To Use Methacrylate Adhesives?

If you're new to methacrylate adhesives, the typical uses include bonding GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) in the marine industry, metal fasteners to moulded composite parts, metal to plastic moulded parts and automotive carbon fibre body panels.

Methacrylate adhesives have many uses including:

Chemique's 9300 series are structural adhesives predominantly used for campers and boats, panel reinforcement (ACM), signage etc

Which Methacrylate Adhesive Should I Buy?

The innovative range of methacrylate adhesives manufactured by Chemique features a new 2-part formulation technology offering users more control over the bonding process with little to no surface prep and ensures professional results with every use.
